1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Even though there are verses like these in the bible, so many Christians still believe that sanctification is a process. Why? Because they trust their thoughts above the word of God.
We can see clearly, that God has sanctified us entirely but sadly so many still think it's a process. Satan deceives many into thinking it's a process of being made holy because they aren't "there" yet.
People go their whole lives thinking they aren't fully perfected and it's such a sad thing to see. We must be aware of how cunning Satan truly is. He will twist the truth and gaslight us into thinking the false is real and the real is false.
Please remember we are never to discern with our own thoughts or feelings, but always the word of God.
God called us and he is the only faithful one, meaning he will do all things that require faith 🤯. He has to do it, not us.
So when you start to think you need to "do" something, please remember these verses. The sanctification of our souls is God's responsibility not ours. Please always remember that we can never make ourselves holy.
Holiness belongs to God and he must do it all. Amen!
Luke 15:7-10
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
As Christians we often think we need to save the world and every person that we come into contact with. Of course it would be amazing if every person that is near and dear to us receives salvation.
But we also must remember that all things are done by grace. God is expressing his heart in these verses. He doesn't want self-righteous people to come to him. God calls for the sinners to repentance. Why?
Because sinners need saving and the true gospel. When we realize the evilness that is in us, we naturally become thankful for God who saved us. We are wretched, but he still extends his love to all of us.
Verse 10 tells us that even the angels become happy when we accept this precious gospel. The kingdom is so happy if even one person receives salvation through you. God is also happy if you yourself received the blessing of eternal life.
We do not have to worry about "saving" anyone, because we are not the savior...Jesus is! Amen!
Titus 3:9-11
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
I often get asked questions about keeping the law, should I get a tattoo, visions, and dreams. God is highlighting here that we should avoid those things as they are useless to our spiritual life.
We can know all about the law, nephlim, dreams, visions, and keeping the commandments but those things will never help us get into heaven.
People also loosely throw around the phrase "False prophet", "False teacher", or "Heretick". We should recognize what the bible tells us is a false teacher/heretick. It's a person who rejects Jesus and the gospel.
It also explains that a heretick is a person who condemns or judges himself. Essentially a person who claims to believe in the blood of Jesus but says they are a sinner.
We must claim that we are righteous through Jesus, not a sinner saved by grace, or a righteous person who sins, or a repenting sinner etc.
We are righteous forever, perfected, and holy through Jesus Christ alone. Sadly, there are so many false preachers and hereticks even amongst the mega churches. They are leading people into thinking that faith and the blood of Jesus alone are not enough.
We can never "help" God in making ourselves righteous, that responsibility was placed solely on Jesus. Amen? AMEN!
Proverbs 9:10-11
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
Everyone wants to gain knowledge and wisdom but few understand what that actually means biblically. They think getting a higher education, reading books, and listening to different perspectives from high value people will give them wisdom.
The bible tells us however that respecting the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that knowledge of holy things is true understanding.
When we respect people, we heed their words. We accept and take in everything they say. We regard their words highly in our hearts. We should do the same with the word of God which is eternal.
Sadly many people do not do this. They slap away the word of God and place it at the bottom of their hearts. They focus more on worldy knowledge, relationships, money, and material things above the precious word of God.
God wants us to focus not on carnal things but holy things. Holy things we cannot see such as salvation, the gospel, gaining a person's heart etc.
When we think about these things, God promises us longevity and health. So many people turn to healthy eating, exercise, and being proactive. The issue however is most people neglect their true health which is spiritual.
Spiritual health is the root of longevity. The more we preach the gospel and focus on God, the more he has to use us. He wants us to live healthy happy lives preaching the gospel.
My hope is for everyone to live happy, long lives while preaching the gospel to the ends of the world. Amen!
Proverbs 12:15
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
We've been trained and groomed from a young age to think we are great. The reason why we think we are great is because we are "right" in our eyes.
When you are right, you cannot heed the advice of others around you. Satan has built up our hearts high as cathedrals so that we can never receive guidance from God.
We are very used to hearing the voice of Satan within ourselves. That is why we cannot listen or hearken unto any other voice.
God wants us to think about this verse deeply. As right as we are, we must also recognize that we could also be 100% wrong.
It is always good to listen to the counsel of others. God has appointed certain people in our lives to speak to us and deliver his message through the word.
I pray that each and every one of you can listen to the word above our thoughts. Although God's word may not match our hearts, my hope is for you all to forsake your thoughts and submit to the will of God.
Struggling is not an issue to God, but we must also be able to accept the words of people around us. Amen!
