Colossians 3:17 (KJV)
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Many of us spend years trying to figure out what our true purpose in life is. We search through careers, relationships, and personal accomplishments to define who we are. The truth is however, our purpose should never be self-centered, it should always be God centered.Â
Whatever role you find yourself in, whether it’s your job, relationships, or personal goals, we have to be careful about making it about "us". We must always remember to tie everything back to grace.Â
Of course we need to strive to work hard, stay disciplined, and be actively growing. But we must always remember that without the grace of God. We cannot do anything and our efforts would be futile.Â
We must acknowledge that even if I study hard, think deeply, and develop my character, if God doesn't allow things to pass, nothing will.
Life is not about achieving self fulfillment or finding purpose. It’s about weaving every part of your life back to the gospel of Jesus Christ, who made you perfect and set you free by grace.
Our purpose is not limited to a specific task or title. Our job shouldn't be our purpose and a fatter paycheck shouldn't be the goal. We must recognize that serving others and having a relationship with our creator is our purpose.
When we search for individual purpose, we often times fall into self-righteousness. We start to believe that our value is found in what we accomplish or how well we follow the rules. But self-righteousness can be deceptive. It tricks us into thinking we can earn favor with God or others by our own efforts. This mindset of individualism isolates us and causes depression.
Your purpose is not to prove or find your worth, but to share His grace and mercy.
The gospel sets us free from this kind of thinking. It tells us that Jesus has already done the work to make us holy, righteous, and perfect in God’s eyes. We don’t need to strive for self-fulfillment because Jesus fulfilled everything on the cross. When we live in this truth, it naturally flows out into every part of our lives. Whether we’re at work, in relationships, or even in the mundane parts of life, we can carry the gospel with us.
Your purpose isn’t in proving you’re enough, it's knowing and believing you're enough.
But sadly if you don't know this, you can feel out of touch or lost in life. That's why God left us with the Holy spirit who guides us to and through grace.Â
The Holy Spirit is not just a helper but the very presence of God leading us into the truth of the gospel every day. When you feel lost or unsure about your purpose, I hope we can all remember this.Â
Titus 2:11 (KJV) reminds us that "the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men".
The Holy Spirit teaches us grace, not self-righteousness. He leads us into a life where our purpose is not about achieving status or perfection in the world’s eyes, but about walking in the grace we’ve already received through Jesus.
What does it mean to live out your purpose in everyday life? It means recognizing that your true calling is to live in and reflect the grace of God. Whether you’re working a nine-to-five, raising a family, or pursuing dreams, I hope we can remember this always.
I hope we can also stop seeking fulfillment in this world and start resting in Jesus who fulfilled all things for us.
Living this way allows us to serve others without needing validation or praise because we know that our worth has already been established by God. It allows us to be patient and loving, to share the gospel in any environment, knowing that we are already secure in our salvation.Â
Today, I want you guys take a moment to reflect on what drives you. Are you searching for purpose in your achievements or your identity in your performance? Or are you resting in the truth that your purpose is found in reflecting the gospel of grace wherever you are?
I hope today we can let go of self-righteousness and embrace the Holy Spirit’s guidance, knowing that He will always lead you back to the freedom you have in Jesus.

Psalm 107:20 (KJV)
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
The world teaches us that healing is something we need to work for, something that only comes through medicine, doctors, and treatments. But the Bible reminds us that true healing comes from God alone. While doctors can play an important role in our health, they do not have the final say—God is the ultimate Healer, the Great Physician.
Psalm 107:20 speaks clearly: "He sent His word, and healed them." This healing is not just physical; it is spiritual, emotional, and complete. The Word of God carries power, and through the gospel, we are not only saved from sin but also healed from the sicknesses that plague us, both in body and spirit.
The word of God is the true medicine.
The world often instills fear when it comes to health. We’re told that our lives depend on doctors, diagnoses, and treatments, and while those are helpful, we must remember that they do not hold the ultimate power. God is the true doctor, and His Word is the medicine that brings healing. Healing is not a process we need to chase after it’s something that God has already declared over us through His Word.
Too often, Satan tries to make us doubt this truth. He plants seeds of fear, uncertainty, and worry, making us question whether healing is really ours. But the truth is, Jesus has already paid the price for our healing on the cross. Just as He carried our sins, He also carried our diseases and illnesses. He cried out, "It Is Finished" meaning we are already healed.
One of the biggest barriers to healing is our own mind. We trust what we see, think, feel, and hear above the truth of God’s Word.
But when we trust in God’s Word above our own thoughts, we unlock the power of healing that He has promised us. My mother’s testimony is proof of this. Despite the doubts, despite what doctors said, she chose to believe in the Word of God above her own thoughts, and through that faith, she experienced healing.
Satan loves to whisper lies, making us doubt whether we are truly healed. He points to symptoms, circumstances, and diagnoses, but our healing doesn’t come from what we see—it comes from what God has said.
Satan cannot steal what God has sealed and healed.Â
The gospel itself is the ultimate source of healing. When Jesus died and rose again, He not only saved us from eternal death but also made healing available to us in every area of our lives. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that heals us today. God's Word says we are healed, not that we will be healed. It’s already done.
Healing is not something we chase, it's something we embrace and accept by grace.
The doctors may have their opinions, but God has the final word, and His Word says you are healed. I hope we can boldly move forward with that heart and by faith.
